Files at Operating System Level:
- Security Logging : Contain important security events (like failed user logon attempts, changes to users and authorizations, etc.)
Storage Locations : /usr/sap/SID/j2ee/cluster/serverX/log/security.log
- Trace Files
The file contains trace information for the entire server, UME libraries and the UME provider. The information in the file is very detailed and contains exceptions, warnings and debugging information.
/usr/sap/SID/j2ee/cluster/serverX/log/defaultTrace.#.trc
Log Configuration Services in the Visual Administrator can be used to increase severity of the traces for further debugging.
Visual Administrator -> Cluster -> Server -> Services -> Log Configurator
